Meet Caroline Naisbitt: Putting People Centre Stage
Hello, I’m Caroline. My career has been all about the delivery of great customer service from my early days working in Boots to Retail Management of various branches of Nationwide Building Society in London and eventually becoming Senior Manager customer experience.
For the last two decades, I have had the privilege of running Inspiring People, a training and consultancy company specialising in customer experience transformation. I have had a wonderful time supporting organisations and helping them to elevate the service that they give to their customers. I have worked in many different sectors in the UK, Europe and Africa.
Starting A New Chapter As A Celebrant
While my career in customer service has been hugely rewarding, I have felt a longing to get back to serving individuals and families.
During and after the Covid pandemic, I became the main carer for my elderly stepfather John in his last few years of his life. In the weeks between his passing and his funeral, our funeral director (who definitely gave our family world class customer service) introduced me to a celebrant who put together a beautiful service for our family.
Over those weeks, it gradually dawned on me what an honour it is to be able to build relationships and support people during their most vulnerable times.
Since my very special grandfather passed away in 2003, I have
been called upon several times to write and deliver eulogies for family members, and I have loved capturing and sharing their life stories at funeral and memorial services.
The lightbulb moment for me was realising that I could combine my skills and experiences over the years into a role as a celebrant. I went on to train with the high respected International College of Professional Celebrants and I am fully supported and insured by them.
I pride myself on providing families with an exemplary service and keen attention to detail. I want people to know that they can rely on me and to feel reassured. I am there for them providing emotional and practical guidance throughout the process. I feel very privileged to be a celebrant and quite simply I love my job.
